Zuntou Kiln Art Park, located in Jinn Tour Lii of Tungshiou Town of Miau Lih County, built by a couple of Ceramist Tony and Painter Daisy, is a multiple center combined with recreation, humanities, art and education. The park is composed of Ong Art Studio, Daisy’s Painting Studio, Show Room, Scenic Rest Area, Happy Potter Area, Eating House and Wood- fired Kiln, named Zuntou Kiln, combined with characteristics of Anagama Kiln and Noborigama Kiln, designed originally and built personally by the kiln owner Tony Ong.

Tony Ong, the founder of The Taiwanese Wood Fire Association, invited as Resident Artist to Santa Ana College in the U.S.A. in 1998, and as the Fifth President of The Taiwanese Ceramics Association, has ceramic lectures in communities and universities in Taiwan. In addition, he holds local and international ceramic workshops to interchange experiences. He makes his best endeavors to promote ceramics. As for Tony’s wife, Daisy, she is engaged in children art education and experts at oil paintings, lineal drawings and ceramics. Daisy’s Painting Studio in the park is her personal work space. |
